Okay okay all jokes aside (I'm not even kidding you give me the last French fry and baby I love you) love really is an action and it should be demonstrated by acts more than just material acts like chocolate and flowers on her birthday or letting him get physical just because he wants to. I'm going to talk to the girls first.
Okay so here's the 411: love isn't only about letting him have or do what he wants. If he says, "If you love me you'll have sex with me.", RUN! Girl, love is NOT just a physical thing. It's not always doing what he wants. It's in simple acts of kindness like listening to him when he needs to get something off his chest. It's being willing to let his needs come first. Make him that sandwich, let him decide what TV show to watch. That kind of thing. Don't degrade his masculinity. Don't try to crush his ego. And ultimately, treat him like a person.
Alright boys. It's your turn. You've got this girl and she's amazing, but how do you show her how much you love her? It's really not that hard. Some girls are high maintenance and they expect the flowers and candy and all that. But a lot of girls, if they really like you for you, they'll care more about the little things you do. Like holding the door, holding her bag for her even though you don't want to, telling her she looks beautiful when she wakes up looking like a demon from paranormal activity, and just other everyday kindnesses.
So people...love isn't that hard to express. You just have to get to know your significant other and find out how they receive love. Or ask...
So that's it from me. I'll try not to disappear for so long next time. :)
